Havenly Oasis

This homeowner had to make the difficult decision of knocking down and rebuilding their 100+-year-old Beach Haven home, or repairing it to meet today’s standards and living needs. They chose to renovate and repair, and Cindy Kelly Kitchen Design was up for the challenge.
We navigated the many complications a home of this age can pose, and thoughtfully designed this stunning oasis. Featuring clean and bright features such as white cabinetry and a cool quartz countertop that helps enliven the space and provide movement. The flooring is refinished from the original home and we just love the original exposed brick, peeking out in the hallway.

We navigated the many complications a home of this age can pose, and thoughtfully designed this stunning oasis. Featuring clean and bright features such as white cabinetry and a cool quartz countertop that helps enliven the space and provide movement. The flooring is refinished from the original home and we just love the original exposed brick, peeking out in the hallway.

Modern Coastal Kitchen
Holgate, NJ
Prior to working with us, this kitchen was lacking the accessibility and flow the homeowner needed. Cabinets were dated and starting to fail. This coastal home becomes the entertainment spot for the family during the summer months and our client wanted a functional space, complete with a large island for seating and prepping.
With great attention to detail in the planning and careful project management, we delivered the client a modern coastal kitchen that checks all the boxes (and then some). We completely remedied the flow of the kitchen, moved the cooktop to a place that’s more functional and practical, and added a large island to provide ample seating for entertaining family and friends! The patterned quartz countertop is a favorite design element that was also used as a full-height backsplash.
With its inviting and modern coastal interior designs, this kitchen is now the perfect space for hosting a large family.

Nautically-Inspired Great Room

This client was redoing his coastal kitchen and bar space and came to Cindy Kelly Kitchen Design for layout help. The design challenge was to connect two spaces into one with a room shape that was slightly abnormal. We skillfully created a large peninsula that allowed for both areas to work together cohesively, while each having its own identity. We used a white finish on the kitchen side along with a blue finish on the bar and peninsula to achieve this. The length of the peninsula allows for plenty of seating. Our client and his friends love all the attention to detail, like the fish scale tile backsplash and the pop of color with the blue cabinetry. The quartz countertops have a light veining and further work to tie in the spaces and connect the overall scheme.
The end result was a breathtaking coastal kitchen and bar design, with plenty of seating and storage.

The builder contacted us for the remodel of this modular home, which was put together in sections on-site. The floorplan wasn’t well thought out and the finishes were dated prior to our help.
We successfully incorporated elements that were unable to be changed. The large center island was designed around one of the two large structural columns that couldn’t be moved or altered. Despite the columns, we were able to open up the kitchen space to allow for better flow and ease of functionality. We love the warmer finishes on the cabinets, a nice change of pace in coastal interior design. The countertop is light quartz with brown and gray veins and the zellige tile backsplash has a free-forming shape and color, which is an out-of-the-box alternative to subway tile, and provides a modern appeal.
The result of this coastal home design is a soothing open floor plan that allows for large gatherings and more than one cook in the kitchen.
